Steady, As She Goes
I've been enjoying Alison's blog for a while now. I often visit quietly, without comment. It seems a private ritual. I don't want to intrude. I'm inspired by this delicate set of actions, performed regularly. There is something very comforting about it. It is beautiful, meditative. Peaceful. If you visit, be gentle, tread lightly. It's a special place.
I'm not sure I understand what this song is actually about, but sometimes I hear the chorus in my head when I leave Alison's space.

What a beautiful place. Thanks, Denise. I immediately made a note to get The Literary Essays of Thomas Merton, which is the source of the amazing quote on Alison's "About" page. (I loved it so much that I went searching!)
ReplyDeleteWow, what a lovely blog and a great song. It's nice when we find a space full of poetry and quiet thoughts. Sometimes I like leaving comments but other times I just prefer to sneak in at the back of the room and leave just before the lights are turned back on, being careful not to miss anything.
