everything is better with bacon sort of way. I wonder if the recent press Swine Flu is receiving will change this beloved perception of bacon. I hope not.

this photograph of Chris makes me chuckle too Yesterday evening I met Chris at a wine bar (here in San Francisco, at the Ferry Plaza). We each ordered a glass of wine, shared the salumi plate, and had a nice conversation. No butter, but I couldn't have asked for better company. Who needs Paris...
You know, as much as I love anything and everything French, I feel it is all too often an annoying sales gimmick. There are so many artisans creating amazing food and drink in this country you could almost fancy yourself in . . . Paris.
