Something, Anything

Stinson, 2015

I woke very early this morning thinking about a quiet unassuming film I saw on Saturday. The main character experiences a period of absolute sadness, but it is followed by a beautiful struggle fueled by hope. I think it was about listening to oneself, and determination. It was so different than anything I've seen lately. I'm glad to know such films are being made.

    2. Denise, I had to come back and tell you that I watched it tonight. I just finished it and keep thinking there's so many things I can take and keep from it. I wish I had been that determined and honest about certain things in my own life. I love when movies make me feel and think hard. Thank you . . . I'll probably watch it again tomorrow! :)

  6. Replace the word "film" with "book" and the title with "After the Sour Lemon Moon," and I think it would be an accurate description of your novel as well!

  8. Beautiful photo! I waited to comment on this post because I wanted to see this movie first... but alas I haven't had time and likely won't before I leave. so I'll be adding it to 'the list' to read this fall when I return. especially since one commenter thinks it's similar to your book -- can't think of a better recommendation...
