It could have been better, but isn't that always the case? I just wanted something out there. A small piece of myself.
Why? Am I afraid of being forgotten? Maybe.
It was simple. Simple things speak to me. Simple isn't the problem.
Unrefined is the problem. But crude can work, on occasion. Usually not.
And I'll do it again. I know I'll do it again, and again, and again.
do it again, and again, and again...keep hoping!

DeleteEssence of lemon--I love it! Of course I love all things lemon, especially desserts.
ReplyDeleteBut probably not cars.
DeleteI love seeing pieces of you. Unrefined, refined, all of it. You exist, and do it beautifully.
ReplyDeleteAs do you, dear Amelia.
Deleteso lovely, the yellow, the light, the little line drawing. yes, to again and again.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Diane. : )
DeleteAfraid of being forgotten...I know that feeling well. Seems to be increasing as I age. Same for you?
ReplyDeleteI believe so.
Deletemy friend maggie has a wall covered with her images of pears, sketches, pastels, drawings, oils, all ways--the form speaks to her and never ceases to intrigue her. so yes, yes, to again and again
ReplyDeletePears can be so beautiful. I recently saved this beauty: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/37928821836062733/
DeleteOn the other hand, I expect to be forgotten after awhile. Even so, there is a kind of quiet nobility in obscurity. And I will leave behind echoes to find.
ReplyDeleteI like your perspective and hope to do the same.
DeleteWell put.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Rachael.
DeleteYellow seems to be in Spring (Nature) Vogue right now. ;).
ReplyDeleteI'm always smitten by the first yellows of spring.
DeleteI'm glad your lemon is there. And I like simple too; but too often I over-complicate. So a lesson there too. See? You're needed...
ReplyDeleteI fear I've been doing a lot of over complicating lately, but maybe it's just enough complicating. It is so difficult to know.
DeleteThis little rant was in response to some feelings I was having about social media, but it seems my last minute thought of adding a sketch of a lemon is what's received all the attention. It proves my point, unrefined/unedited writing is often unclear. Thanks for all the lemon love.
