I like the hope of closed flower buds.

  1. me too. we have several daffodils in our yard, yellow-tipped, but tightly closed. this week a warming trend is predicted--my hope is that they survived the latest round of chilling weather and will blossom.

I keep opening up, then closing up....much like these buds, confused by the tarding spring

    1. I know how you feel. Today is especially strange here in San Francisco. Moody weather. It is time for my afternoon coffee. I'm off!

  4. Oh I'm so wanting flowers and spring. And sleep and Susan to come back.

I'm gonna get myself some yellow tomorrow!

  6. A few weeks ago, I saw the first daffodils of the season, and 'hope' was exactly what they looked like, even with the grey sky and the chill. That yellow would make the grimmest smile.
