I woke up today thinking of these lines:
I get the news I need on the weather report
Oh, I can gather all the news I need on the weather report
From this song.
Some days it's all I want to know.
I get the news I need on the weather report
Oh, I can gather all the news I need on the weather report
Yes, yes, and yes.
ReplyDeleteand maybe a little KWMR.
Deleteamen!
ReplyDelete"I've got nothing to do today but smile."
Love that line too. I hope it's what you're doing today, Nancy.
DeleteI love that song, and I love those words.
ReplyDeletetwo of my favorite men! What a fabulous start to the day. :)
ReplyDeletethanks for the reminder. love them.
ReplyDeleteThe news bothers me. There is so much of it, and we choose to inflict it upon ourselves beyond what is our business or what we are willing to do about it. Sometimes, I'm even just as happy to let the weather happen, reportless.
ReplyDeleteReportless is not a bad idea, considering our weather report is so often incorrect.
DeleteGreat way to start the day, love it!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful song. One of my favorite song lines is "you don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows"...while on the weather theme.
ReplyDeleteAh, yes. Bob Dylan's Subterranean Homesick Blues. Good video.
DeleteI read this the day you posted, but have been unable to comment before now. The synchronicity of reading your words with that very song at the forefront of my mind made me smile. I have been singing it (yes, aloud and luckily alone) during a couple of long, slow runs recently. Perfect pacing I found and a song I simply love. Do you know the version by Everything But The Girl?
ReplyDeleteNice pace. I hadn't heard the Everything But The Girl version, but I'm listening right now. Thanks.
DeleteMe too. :)
