What a gorgeous room. Those two figures look Chinese from here so I hope they will help bring some calm into your life. Slower is good. I could spend all day in this view.
sooner or later every unfamiliar becomes familiar(anywhere in between can be uncomfortable)... hope that is soon for you. This room looks like a good place to settle into.
I like your last comment...it told me you had a great time away from it all. I've been thinking that J and I need to do something similar before the serious crazy starts. But then I think...I'll be gone from my space so much this year, I'd rather just enjoy it. We'll see.
Observer. Also, author of the novel “After the Sour Lemon Moon.” I recorded a free audio version at the beginning of the pandemic. You can find it in my Instagram bio, in highlights.
Such a lovely and quiet looking place. Happy settling in...
ReplyDeleteTwo chairs, a view and a new pattern. Hope it works a little magic.
ReplyDeleteI've forgotten what a slower pace feels like ....

ReplyDeleteWere able to still the voices calling you? ;)
Yes. Fulfilled, they've gone quiet.
DeleteI am envisioning a retreat, restful and replenishing.
ReplyDeleteSo this is the respite for which you've waited. Which chair will you choose?
ReplyDeleteThe right was more comfortable.
DeleteLOVE THIS!
ReplyDeleteFidget - such a good word. Fidget, fidgety, fidgeting, fidgeted - that's me these days. I need to sit still more.
ReplyDeleteSo, so good.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of the best settings to click a picture. Bright outside and slightly dark inside.
ReplyDeleteLove those chairs and the figures on the table.
I might have adjusted the exposure a tad to get what I wanted here, but only point-and-shoot adjustment.
DeleteThanks, everyone! It was a wonderful change of scene. Fresh air, green rolling hills, lots of birds, happy cows. I am satisfied.

ReplyDeleteSometimes it's tough to make that choice, deciding on the freedom of away-from-it-all or the comfort of home.
Deleteoh that image... it reminds me of beautiful passages in favourite stories.

My soul craves a slower pace. It's on those days were things move at that rhythm that I find peace and fully live.
