  4. That must be so satisfying. I'm planning on trying my hand at a bit of gardening in a few weeks' time (never done any before - can you believe that?!) and am looking forward to such moments.

  5. Hurrah, hurrah. Oh, but watch out for baby snails and slugs. They love to nibble on young greens. I'm trying copper ribbon as a deterrent. Bought a 25 foot roll this morning.

    1. Thanks, Elaine. I haven't seen any yet, but will be happy to know of the copper ribbon if I do.

  9. it is so exciting when things germinate. I always marvel at my garden. That I plant seeds, and spinach, lettuce, broccoli, and beans appear, seems magical, miraculous.

  10. Double weee! Why can't I grow anything? Everything I try to grow just dies on me - I'm a bad plant mother :)

    1. Hello, Hila. Some things are working well for me and some not at all. These little sprouts are green and happy, but my peas, carrots, and red onions aren't cooperating with me yet, and I've noticed some of my young dill's wispy leaves already turning yellow. It's all a learning experience. I bet you could grow radishes. They are flexible and willing. It might be worth a try.
