I started the day with poetry, because when it is good it fuels my prose. But what I read did not speak to me, so I listened to All the Days and Nights, for the fourth time.
Poetry can comfort, confuse, change a viewpoint, provoke empathy, introduce us to what we do not know, return us to the past, draw us into a possible future--so many things.

Repeating poetry is one of my favourite things to do. I like to memorize and recite poems in my head so I can have them with me at all times.
