Memories... :)Denise https://www.blogger.com/profile/08269617590521412393noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5232927064230838150.post-29068795416126052532016-08-07T16:29:18.927-07:002016-08-07T16:29:18.927-07:00Thank you!Thank you!Denise https://www.blogger.com/profile/08269617590521412393noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5232927064230838150.post-775760518442813252016-08-07T16:28:30.895-07:002016-08-07T16:28:30.895-07:00Enjoy your upcoming project. When I woke up Saturday morning I saw the sofa was still out on the sidewalk, two pillows had gone missing, and someone had decided to borrow the sofa as a bed. When we got home, late morning, the sofa was gone. I have no idea if it was picked up by the service I tried to schedule, or by someone else. I'm going to let it remain a mystery. Also, our new sofa was delivered with a defective leg and had to be returned to the warehouse. So here we are, sofaless, and waiting, again, while trying to focus on the more positive things in life. We have roses, ripe blackberries, and slow-roasted tomatoes ready for dinner tonight. Not too shabby. ;)Denise https://www.blogger.com/profile/08269617590521412393noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5232927064230838150.post-28076015961481490152016-08-06T19:27:58.630-07:002016-08-06T19:27:58.630-07:00Do I hope that the truck took it away finally? I'm not sure I could have been moved by the story of a sofa...could have been led into remembering my first bought piece of furniture (a papasan chair) which I still can't let go of even though you can't sit it in any more...by anyone but you.Rachelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16478839034249164862noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5232927064230838150.post-15453390630056922132016-08-05T17:41:07.998-07:002016-08-05T17:41:07.998-07:00Love this! I sit here in my bedroom on my very favorite sofa of all time. She (gender specific here, too...fabric awash with hydrangeas, peonies, hibiscus, and more) has seen better days, but I can't bear to part with her. The autumn project is to make new covers for the seat cushions. The black and cream ticking fabric is purchased and I'm waiting for cooler days to confine myself to spiffing up the old girl. At 21, she's just now legal...I can't imagine getting rid of her! She will provide many more years of seating enjoyment in her new shabby chic attire! Hope the truck has finally arrived to carry away your sofa-friend. Enjoy your new one. The fabric is lovely.
