Weekend Project

Close to instant gratification.

The author of the pattern* says any super bulky yarn will do. So why not knit one for yourself or someone you like?

Thanks for the inspiration, Leslie.

*I substituted a size 15 16"circular needle for the 20" noted in the pattern. Also, I did not YO twice in my YO rows, just once, making my fit more snug than the loose fit you'll see in the pattern link.

  1. Ah, you went ahead and knitted one up and just in time for cold, damp foggy days.

  2. BTW, I have a gravenstein in my backyard, and although mine drop early from the tree and carry a worm or two, they are delicious.

    1. Does this mean your Kindred has arrived? I still haven't received mine. I'm jealous. And you have a Gravenstein tree? Oh my.

  3. Your stack of stitches reminds me of a pile of plump blackberries. Oh how I miss picking blackberries for pie and jam this time of year. How pleasant to wear a string of them around your neck.

    1. Thank you, Christine. I'm happy to have found this yarn. It seems they no longer make it. I found it just in time.

    1. With beginner skills, you could seriously knit this cowl up in a weekend. If I were in Nashville I'd teach you the basics.
