Mornings

Iris, 2013

Someone recently wrote of her practice of reading something beautiful each morning. She liked to begin her day by remembering how beautiful writing can be.

I wish I could recall who wrote this. I think of it often. If you are reading, thank you.

Today it is Brooke's piece, The Wren, that reminds me of such beauty.

  4. I'm the opposite, I like a bit of good writing before bed. But I'm a morning person and like to dive into what needs to be done. All about production in the mornings!

  13. Gotta echo Jane on this one. Wren's a beautiful pice of writing, which is what I find here, consistently.

  14. I'll think of Brooke's wren as I keep my eyes open for our own little family. And starting the day with something beautiful rather than my usual bout of radio news sounds far preferable. Love the irises.
